I have been in production in one form or another for over 20 years. I grew up in Rochester, NY and attended Dahjalon recording institute during high school, where I studied multi-track recording and mastering. I worked on consoles ranging from an AMEK Mozart to the state of the art NEVE 9000, running a full suite of ATARI’s Virtual Dynamics. I first set foot in the field for television at the age of 14, working with a group to document the “Earth First” barricade of the Watts Bar Nuclear Power Plant. My Father and I spent the day running through the woods with a NAGRA reel to reel and 2 Sennhieser 416’s. It was cold and dark and I LOVED IT. It has been a long road from there to here and I have seen some amazing things along the way. I have worked professionally at just about every major position on set. I have a passion for both sound and pictures. I love the organized chaos it takes to produce great work. I will take the long hours, unpredictable situations and an endless string of hotel rooms over a 9 to 5 in a cubicle any day. You have to love what you do… and I love this.
Commercial and Broadcast:
I have been in commercial production since I graduated in 2013. I cut my teeth in Knoxville, TN where i traveled an average of 300 days a year shooting for Scrips networks. Knoxville is the unlikely production hub for networks like HGTV, DIY, FOOD, Fine Living and Great American Country. I have had the pleasure of working with some of the best technicians, camera operators and producers in the business. While I strive toward perfecting my skills everyday… I believe we are always students and can learn the most from working with others who love what they do and push their own limits with every new shoot. Mutual respect and organized collaboration creates the most conducive environment to creativity and craftsmanship. Together… a good crew is certainly more than the sum of its parts.

Documentary and Feature Production:
I have had the experience of being on several features in the course of my career. I held position ranging from sound supervisor and DIT to camera operator and editor. While I love features of all kinds, i have a true passion for documentary work. The ability to tell a story that has a real basis in the historical context as well as application to modern social and interpersonal relationships, really transcends the project itself and gives the whole idea merit in a larger sense. The truth is… I love to learn… about mostly anything. I would consider myself blessed to spend my life working on projects where I acquire and pass on knowledge to the world. It would be a truly noble pursuit.
I have teamed with a good number of talented professionals in the production of documentary style projects including Michael Samstag of Knoxville Films, Dune Road Films and Earth First just to name a few.
